| Introduction

Trebuchet is a type of catapult. The catapult physics is basically the use of stored energy to hurl the projectiles upto the target. Trebuchet works by using the energy of a falling counterweight to launch projectiles. It proves to be the best battle machine in ancient times to throw payloads.

| Eligibility Criteria

Anyone can participate.

| Task

Participants need to clear the targets given by loading the object given on their trebuchet.

| Rounds

Round 1 :

​

1. This round consist of static targets.

2. The trebuchet should hit the target 3 times.

3. The team will score 10 points for each target hit correctly.

4. The projectiles that fall on the specified area shall be counted.

Round 2 :

​

1. This round consist of moving target.

2. 2 chances will be given to hit the target.

3. Each target consists of 10 points.

4. The projectiles should fall in the area specified .

| Rules

1. Participants are not Allowed to make use of any electronic components in their trebuchets.

2. The trebuchet should be as per the specifications .

3. Time will be given to set their loads. No further extensions will be allowed.

4. Time limits will be given for clearing the targets.

5. The projectiles should fall in the area specified. If it goes outside the area specified then that target won’t be accepted and further no more chances will be given.

6. Team whose model is not as per the limits given will be disqualified.

​Specifications :

​

   1. The model size should not exceed the size (30 X 40 X 45) cm.

​

  2. The Trebuchet should be able to launch the projectile minimum 10 m and should land in the specified area.
